What is a Legal Will?

A Legal Will is a written document that contains your instructions on how you want your wealth and assets to be distributed after you have passed. It also states whom you direct to act as the executor(s) of your estate.

It is designed to ensure that your estate is distributed according to your desire. Legal wills can range from simple easy to understand wills through to very complex wills.

Why do I need a Will?

If you do not have a Legal Will, your assets and wealth distribution will be decided by the rules and regulations of the court. This can often lead to disputes leave your estate distributed not according to your wishes.

Why do I need a will drawn up by a solicitor?

Solicitors follow the proper legal format and examine your final Will to ensure that it is bulletproof. Do-it-yourself Wills may not meet the proper legal drafting requirements and be ruled invalid. People may even question your ability mentally or if your were influenced by a certain beneficiary during the will creation process.
